The IHBI Inspires 2019 program is now available! Please note this is a draft program only and is subject to change. Speakers will be announced closer to the event.
The main features of this year’s program include:
Get inspired by our invited keynote speakers: burns surgeon and “spray-on” skin inventor Prof. Fiona Wood and The Surfing Scientist Ruben Meerman.
Throughout our six IHBI Theme sessions, our plenary speakers will present their research work. HDR students will share their research with the wider IHBI community alongside ECRs, MCRs and senior researchers.
Our HDR students will introduce their posters in 1 minute “lightning talks” followed by poster discussion sessions.
IHBI Labs Showcase
This showcase offers an insight into available IHBI equipment and services. Facilities will update on the latest news.
Interactive Activities at the Conference:
An important part of IHBI Inspires is to provide the opportunity for participants to meet, discuss, and build relationships and collaborations. We hope you will enjoy our networking sessions provided at the conference.
Poster Discussion Sessions
The presenters will showcase their work through a poster display. This lively and interactive session will provide opportunities to talk to the presenters about their research, to make some new connections, and meet those with similar research interests.
Viewing of posters on display will be possible throughout the event. Participants are invited to use this occasion for further discussion in the poster areas, but presenters are not required to stand by their posters. Coffee, tea and food will be available for a social networking environment.
Enjoy research training advice and help about career development in an interactive environment. Join specialised workshops for HDR and ECR/MCR on day 1 of the conference. The second day we will have an media & social media workshop as well as an industry workshop for everyone.
Meet the exhibitors and sponsors of this conference at their trade table display. Have a chat with them about their products, company or career opportunity and use this time to get to know their products and exercise your networking skills.
For participants who have purchased a ticket only.
The Conference Dinner will take place on the first evening of the conference. It will be an excellent opportunity for participants to get to know each other in a relaxed and informal environment. The evening will begin with a pre-dinner drinks reception in the Plaza P9-11 Balcony and Foyer on the Plaza level at BCEC at 5:30pm. The three-course served dinner will take place in the Plaza P9-11 room from 7pm onward. The evening program will include a fantastic key note speaker; live music and lots of fun.
